Marcella Peterson Obituary

Marcella Fay Peterson, age 92 of Scottville, passed away on Saturday July 19, 2014 at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington. She was born on January 9, 1922 in Arcadia, daughter of the late Gustave and Anna (Ballewski) Hull. Marcella worked several different jobs here in the local area. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, hunting, fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast. Marcella is survived by her children, Charlie (Sonja) Argue of Scottville, Marcia (Richard) Kelley of Ludington, Diana (Richard) Cox of Scottville, Steve Peterson of Ludington, Debbie (Randy) Pallett of Plainwell and Jerry Peterson of Scottville; Step-son, Mathew Peterson of Benzonia; grandchildren, Penny Englebrecht, Robert Argue, Karen (Dan) Jensen, Theresa (Tim) Kruithof, Sherri (Bob) McIntosh, Wendy (Steve) McLellen, Vince Kraus, Ryan (Tracy) Cox, Hannah (Christopher) Varenhorst, Daisy (Scott Campbell) Peterson, Rusty (Lori) Negal, David (Kelly) Argue, Autumn (Drew) Carrick and Amber Peterson; step-grandchildren, Jeff (Vicki) Cox, Todd (Sara) Cox, Michelle (John) Arntz, Mark (Marlene) Claveau, Wayne Claveau, Michael (Joanne) Peterson and Brandon and Cameron Pallett; 22 great-grandchildren; 25 step-great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mathilda Smith of Traverse City, Marie (Paul) Sheppleman of Bear Lake, Beverly Giordano of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Arthur Argue; 2nd husband, Eugene “Bud” Peterson; son, Larry Argue; grandson-in-law, James Englebrecht; brothers, Dean, Norman and Carl Hull; sister, Marjorie Merrill; 3 great-granddaughters; and 1 step-great-grandson. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Marcella will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday July 24, 2014 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Scottville with Pastor John Hansen officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00PM until time of service. Final interment will take place at Conway Cemetery in Arcadia at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Marcella may be directed to either the family or Our Savior Lutheran Church.
