Brandy Gail Montileaux Brandy Gail Montileaux was born April 15th, 1975 at Tyndall, SD and left us on July 19th, 2014 in Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Joseph “JoJo” Montileaux and Helena (Bull Bear) Montileaux and Martin “Capone” White and Myrna (Janis) Allen. She is survived by her parents Moses Montileaux Sr. and Carla (White) Montileaux of Kyle, SD; sons James (Brittany) Winters, Mission, SD, Derek Winters, Sioux Falls, SD and Brandon Winters, Potato Creek, SD; brothers Bernie Montileaux, Kyle, SD, and Moses Montileaux, Jr. Kyle, SD and Colin Thunder Hawk, Minneapolis, MN; and sisters Carlene White, Rapid City, SD, Brooke Montileaux, Indiana, Whisper Montileaux, Kyle, SD, Alexandra Montileaux, Potato Creek, SD, and April Montileaux, Arizona; three grandchildren Jerome, Jamie, and Jaylinn; and grandparents Tom and Michele Allen, Spearfish, SD. Brandy started as a celebrity when she made the front page of the paper when she was born as one of the largest babies born in SD at 11 pounds, 1 oz. Brandy worked many years in the hospitality industry including as a clerk at Big Bat’s in Pine Ridge, a waitress and bartender at The Bunkhouse in Valentine, NE, and waitress at The Franklin Hotel in Deadwood, SD and Perkins in Rapid City. She always had a smile and made customers feel welcome and well-served. She had a great sense of humor and kept people laughing. Her favorite color was orange. Pallbearers are Tanner Pierce, Chase PayPay, Will Montileaux, Jess Heart, Ray Rencountre, David McBride, George McBride, Calvin Monroe and Felix Rodriguez. Honorary Pallbearers are all her relatives and friends especially her Uncles Mike White, Francis Montileaux and Lawrence Montileaux and her Aunties Darlene McBride, Stephanie Romero, Heather Lecompte, Sheralda Montileaux, Theresa Mendoza, and Annie Montileaux. Wake services are 3PM Friday 7/25/14 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Hall, Kyle, SD. Those wanting to be in the procession can leave from Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge at 1PM. The Funeral is 2PM Saturday 7/26/14 at the Catholic Hall with Rev. Francis Montileaux officiating. Burial will be at St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery, Kyle, SD (east of Kyle on the Allen Road). Services under the direction of Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD.
