Janet Kay Bulock, age 71 of Manistee, died Thursday afternoon July 17, 2014 at her home. She was born in Bay City the daughter of the late Harold D. and Alma C. (Kolb) Crane. She graduated in 1961 from Bay City Central High School and attended Delta College and then graduated in 1965 from Michigan State University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. On September 11, 1965, Janet married Larry K. Bulock at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Bay City. She was co-owner and office manager of Michtree Inc. for 18 years; retiring in 2001. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Janet enjoyed gardening, bird watching, playing with her grandsons, baking, and was fully dedicated to serving her church congregation and volunteering with many local organizations. She is survived by her husband, Larry K. Bulock of Manistee; two daughters, Sue Bulock of Marietta, GA and Gail (Glen) Worden of Burt, MI; special grandsons, Evan and Emmett Worden also of Burt; brothers, Gary Crane of Bay City, Robert (Kathy) Crane of Muskegon, and Fred Osborne of Grand Rapids; along with several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Crane, Jr. and Donald Crane, and her nephew, Jeffrey Crane. Cremation has taken place and a Christian Funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday July 21, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 317 Fourth Street in Manistee with Pastor James A. Schmeling officiating. Final interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
