<p>POORTER, Rolph - </p><p>Rolph Peter Poorter, 56, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday July 16th, surrounded by family. Born in Toronto to Marie (Hemsing) and the late Frits Poorter, Rolph was a loving husband to Andrea (Sonzogni), devoted father to Dane (Jacqueline), Erika and Sonya Poorter and proud grandfather to Brock Peter. He will be missed by sisters Jacqueline van der Jagt (Matt), Jennifer Doleman (Brian), Yvette Poorter (Johannes Spaans), as well as many family members and friends. Rolph loved the outdoors, was an avid music lover and will be fondly remembered for his wry humour and passionate longtime dedication as a Scout leader. He worked at the Toronto District School Board for over 30 years. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Haliburton Scout Reserve or the Dorothy Ley Hospice, in lieu of flowers.
