Beverley Gee

Millinocket – Beverley A. “Peta” Gee, 71, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 15, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born March 6, 1943 in Millinocket, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Doyle. Beverley grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of St. Martin of Tours High School, and was also a graduate of Burdette College where she earned an Associate’s Degree. Beverley loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter, and enjoyed playing bingo. She will also be remembered as a wonderful cook. Beverley is survived by three daughters, Erin Marie Gee and her companion Jack Sincyr of Millinocket, Shannon Marie Crowell and her husband Kevin of Calais, and Kristen Marie Beers and her husband Craig of Scarborough; five grandchildren, Alisha Marie Gee, Kaylee Marie Crowell, Jarod Craig Beers, Ellie Marie Beers, and Mia Kate Beers; a great granddaughter, Zoey Marie McLaughlin; a sister in law, Linda Doyle of Bangor; a brother in law, Jim Gee of Millinocket; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beverley will also be missed by many dear friends, especially Carol Daniell of Millinocket. In addition to her parents, Beverley was predeceased by her husband, Norman C. Gee, and siblings Oswald Doyle, Ethel Sherry, Eileen Riccio, Wilson Doyle, Bertram Doyle, Mabel McGee, and Robert Doyle. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at MCCM, the Gibson Pavillion at Maine Medical Center, as well as the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, for the attentive care given to Beverley and for the special considerations extended to the family. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 P.M. Sunday, July 20 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 A.M. Monday, July 21 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Beverley may be sent to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462.
