William "Bill" Phelps

PHELPS, Bill - At his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday July 16, 2014. William “Bill” Allen Phelps in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Jeanette “Jean” M. (nee Denby) Phelps for over 42 years. Dear father of Andy and his wife Jessica and Cindy Leblanc and her husband David. Very proud grandfather of Natalie “Petite” and Matthew “Muscles” Leblanc. Dear brother of Clara Yates (late Bill), late Bob Phelps (late Joan), Betty Benson (late Al), late Lou Phelps (Betty), and George Phelps (Barb) and is survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bill was a long time member of Dundas St. United Church and was a member of the Beachville Legion. He volunteered in the kitchen with many church functions. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Saturday July 19, 2014 from 7-9 pm and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to honour Bill’s life will be held in the chapel at the funeral home on Monday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Bonnie Pilkey officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
