Millinocket – Ellen Ruth Repasy, 69, passed peacefully into Eternal Life on Saturday July 12, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. Ellen was born October 2, 1944 in Saddle Brook, New Jersey the daughter of Harold C. and Eleanor (Denzel) Tarkanish. Ellen was born in New Jersey and attended Saddle Brook Schools. She moved to Jackson, New Jersey where she continued her education and received a Master’s Degree from Goddard College in Vermont. She was employed at Easter Seals then at JFK Memorial Hospital in Edison, New Jersey where she worked until her retirement. Afterwards, Ellen and her husband ran a successful dog grooming and dog sitting business. Her patience and love for the physically and mentally disabled and the elderly showed in everything she did. In her final years, she became a Visiting Angel. She and her family recently moved to Millinocket where she found peace and love in a small town. Her family was the central part of her life and always cared for them and helped them in whatever way she could. Ellen was a faithful Christian and loved attending church and Bible Studies. Ellen loved dogs, horses and cats and was surrounded by many of them for many years. Ellen is survived by her husband, Robert Repasy; children, Audrey Williams, Ian Kevin Williams and wife Millie, Michael Repasy and wife Teresa, and Dillon Repasy; her grandchildren, Russell Ketchie and wife Ashley and Jillena Smith; three great grandchildren, Tyler, Travis and Cody; and her sister, Linda Ciulla and husband John and brother Thomas Tarkanish and wife Patsy; and a maternal aunt, Ruth Williams and husband Werner. In addition to her parents Ellen was predeceased by her grandson, Steven Beau Ketchie. She also leaves behind beloved pets. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, July 16 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Avenue, Millinocket. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 10AM at Faith Baptist Church, 244 Massachusetts Ave., Millinocket with Rev. Ian Shearer officiating. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery.
