Victor "Bob" Presley

Mr. Victor “Bob” Presley, age 81, of Davenport, Virginia, passed away Monday (July 14, 2014) at his home following an extended illness. Born January 30, 1933 in Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Cowan and Eunice Ball Presley. A 1951 graduate of Council High School, he later received his educational degree from East Tennessee State University, after serving two years in the United States Army. He had taught at Council High School for twenty-two years, before retiring in 1982 and served on the Buchanan County School Board for four years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Presley. Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Janie Presley of the home; three sons, Mark Presley and wife, Glenda of Bealeton, Virginia, Wendell Presley and wife, Donna of Davenport, and Ted Presley of Abingdon; two grandchildren, Craig Presley and Matt Presley; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Presley, Isaac Presley, and Connor Presley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday at the Honaker Funeral Home, Honaker, Virginia.
