Joseph Anthony Bruesch Joseph Anthony Bruesch, age 64 of Whitehall passed away on Friday July 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 15, 1949 in Ludington, son of the late Harold and Anna (Gancarz) Bruesch. Joseph married Jeanne Hansen on July 29, 1972 in Montague. Joseph endured a 12 year battle with prostate cancer due to Agent Orange during the Vietnam Era War. He worked at Lear Seigler USA in Holland for 35 years. He was active in the Army, Air Force reserves for 22 years and was a decorated veteran serving his country in Vietnam, Honduras and Panama. He loved hunting and fishing. He took many trips with his brothers Dave, Chuck, Cousin Stan, and friends, Louie, Duane, Matt, Mark, Mike and Joel, granddaughter and grandsons, Lukius, Josh and Joey and many more friends from out West to Canada and Alaska. He enjoyed teaching grandkids the safety of hunting, restoring antique tractors and remodeling his farmhouse. Joseph was an active member of the Whitehall American Legion, Montague VFW and the St. James Catholic Church. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Bruesch of Whitehall; daughters, Kerry (Joel) Fretty of Whitehall, Kellie (Ed) Sochanek of Muskegon and Kristy (Chad) Bruesch of Whitehall; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Gabby , Eve, Josh, Laura, Connor, Ghaige, Breylyn, Everleigh, Lukius and Joseph; brothers, Dave Bruesch and Chuck and Sherry Bruesch; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Barbara Bruesch. Funeral services with military honors for Joseph will be held at 2:30PM on Monday July 14, 2014 at Oak Grove Funeral Home in Ludington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Joseph may be directed to either the Montague VFW or the Johnson Cancer Center in Muskegon.
