Mrs. Margaret Corns Hale, age 82, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Thursday morning (July 10, 2014) at her home. Born May 14, 1932 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Nellie Boyd Corns. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Buford Hale; two sons, J.C. Hale and Douglas Wayne Hale; one granddaughter, Kimberly Hale; great-grandson, Caleb Joshua Hale and one brother, Frasier Corns. Survivors include one son, Jerry Dean Hale and wife, Pam of Honaker, Virginia; one daughter, Nellie Ruth Hale and Henry Stump of Honaker, Virginia; six grandchildren, Aletha Hale, Tiffany Hale, Amber Hale, Patricia Hale, Kaitlyn Rose, Courtney Hale and Jayla Chanelle Hale Musick; six grandchildren, Logan Hale, Candice Hale, Deshawn Cook, James Hale, Lincoln De La Riva and London De La Riva; two brothers, Harlan Ray Corns and wife, Loraine and Truel Corns and wife, Diane; two sisters, Martha Womack and husband, Bill and Ellen Carrello; daughter-in-law, Judy Charles; special friends, Carol Peck and Nancy Stump and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Perkins, Rev. Wayne Perkins and Rev. Wayne Damron officiating. Interment will follow in the Corns Cemetery at Lynn Springs, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
