Everett “Eugene” Stonebreaker, 77, of Lumberport, passed away at 10:38pm, Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Lumberport, March 8, 1937 a son of the late Earl Alexander and Ruby Violet Amos Stonebreaker. He is survived by his wife, Fay Catherine Elza Stonebreaker, seven children, Brigitte Wilkins and her husband Eric, Lumberport, Nila Zelenak and her companion Jeff, Allentown, NJ, Caroline Thomas and her husband David, Tavares, FL, Elizabeth Ann Fichera and her husband Ross, Burlington, NJ, Diana Zafirov and her husband, Dr. Dimiter Zafirov, Sarasota, FL, Michael Stonebreaker, CA, William Stonebreaker and his wife Josie, Jacksonville, FL, nine grandchildren, Jennifer Heflin and her husband C.J., Justin Hall, Kevin White and his wife Jill, Christopher White and his wife Donna, Matthew Boring, Jordan Zelenak, Jackie Fitzgibbon, Erica Wilkins, Leigh Ann Wilkins, two step-grandchildren, Tara and David Thomas, five great-grandchildren, Cole, Cade, Olivia, Heyden, and Kylie, three sisters, Esther Price, Alice Rhoades and her husband Sonny, Debbie Flanigan and her husband Jim, two brothers, Roger Stonebreaker and his wife Rose, Danny Stonebreaker and his wife Ginger, several nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law, Carol Stonebreaker, his step-mother, Molly Stonebreaker, three brothers-in-law, William Elza, Robert Elza and his wife Darlene, Paul Elza, his sister-in-law, Nila Ann Pasta and her husband Robert. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie, Ralph, and Dale Stonebreaker, two brothers-in-law, Joe Price, Keith Elza , and his mother and father-in-law, Flemmings and Dorothy Elza. Mr. Stonebreaker was a coal miner having retired from Consol Energy, Robinson Run Mine, with 33 years service in the mining industry. He was an avid NRA member and contributor. He loved his family and never knew a stranger. At his request, Mr. Stonebreaker was cremated. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 10am until the time of the memorial service at 2pm, Monday, July 14 with Pastor Homer Hamm officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Harrison County Humane society at Rt. 2 Box 932, Shinnston, WV 26431. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com.
