Eroca Ellingham Obituary

ELLINGHAM: Eroca – (Trudy Borsheim) Oct. 2, 1950 – Jul. 5, 2014 Eroca was born Trudy, October 2, 1950 in Nokomis, Saskatchewan. The first daughter, she quickly became the apple of her father Leslie’s eye, the darling of her mother Gwenyth, and the adoring companion of her big brother Con. Ever the devoted big sister to Oriol and Mary Ellen when they joined the family. The Prairie where she roamed as a child remained ever precious and was returned to, again and again. Eroca started her education in Venn, graduated from Watrous High School and proceeded to graduate with an Honours B.A. from the University of Saskatchewan. As a young girl her instrument of self-expression was the piano, in later life it was the visual arts. She honed her eye and hand to see together with pen, pencil and paint to create portraits and landscapes that were filled with life. Her art practice brought her joy and friendship connecting her with the arts community in Saskatoon reaching out to North Battleford. Singing with the White Dove Choir allowed her beautiful voice and capacity to find harmony to deepen her connection to Spirit. The Buddhist path, Christian foundation and mindfulness trainings enriched her life deeply. Where ever she made her hearth in Saskatoon it was filled with calm, beauty and light. Eroca always gave her all, no matter what work was in front of her. Jobs came and went, yet it was her family, friends and community that she held most dear in her heart. Eroca was predeceased by her father Leslie Borsheim, her mother Gwenyth and her brother Con. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Margie, Oriol and Mary Ellen (Ed); as a revered auntie to Michael, Stuart, Nissa (Kelly), Leslie Jr. (Ashley), Lief (Jessica), Morgan (Matt), Quill (Laeila), Luke, Gavin (Ali), a great-auntie to Ashley, Amber, Ryden, Eachan, Maria, Reagen, Cale, Gabrielle; a caring niece to Helen Teal, cherished Lenora Vickers, Ken Turner and Evron Stalder. In addition Eroca leaves behind fourteen cousins and their extended families. Her many friends will hold her memory in their loving hearts.
