Betty Trombley Obituary

SOUTH GLENS FALLS Betty Eileen Trombley, of Saratoga Avenue, passed away on Friday, June 27th, in the arms of her daughters in the comfort of her home. Born on July 11, 1948 in Rutland Vt., she was the daughter of the late Michael and June Cantiello and the late Francis and Georgia Wetherby. Betty retired from Irving Oil in Claremont, New Hampshire. Betty was a hard working woman who committed herself to both work and family. She especially enjoyed her former job in radio at WWSC. In addition Betty found great fulfillment in her involvement with David’s House. Many of her co-workers over the years became lifelong friends. Above all else Betty cherished time spent with family. She took great pride in creating priceless quilts and scrapbooks for her children and grandchildren. Spending time with her siblings, whether meeting for breakfast, taking a trip to the Racino, spending a day at Saratoga Racetrack, or simply sitting around the table enjoying cups of coffee gave Betty great pleasure. Betty’s five grandchildren were the light of her life. Nothing made her happier or prouder than being present at any of their special events, no matter how big or small. Sunday dinners with her family, and whomever else happened to drop by were always filled with love and laughter. Betty took great comfort in knowing that her daughters would carry on the family traditions that brought her such happiness. Her daughters and grandchildren adored her beyond measure. Betty will be remembered by all who knew her for her optimistic attitude, selflessness, kindness, and sense of humor. These qualities did not diminish throughout her illness. Any one that ever met her loved her instantly. She will be missed greatly. Left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Kellie Trombley Hafner and her husband Rich, Kristina Trombley Bump and her husband Daniel and Katie Trombley Wolfe; her grandchildren, TJ, Shaylyn and Jacob Hafner, Thomas Wolfe and Lily Margaret Bump; her significant other, Dick Cyr; her siblings, Marlene Ricci and Tony, Steven Cantiello, Mary Scellen and Mark, Susan Kawa and Allen, June Sucese and Charles, Joan Armando and David, Christopher Cantiello and Deb, and Joan Poczobut and Jeff; the father of her children and lifelong friend Joseph Trombley, several nieces, nephews and cousins,.as well as her New Hampshire Family.
