Anna Lee Shingleton, 84, of Tetrick Rd, Shinnston, went to be with her Lord at 12:50pm, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Enterprise, on October 15, 1929, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Mary Gordon Frum. On June 5, 1948, she married her husband of 66 years, Robert V. Shingleton who survives. Also surviving are three children, Richard D. Shingleton, Shinnston, Nina Dragoo McGinnis and her husband Rodney, Shinnston, Pastor Robert L. Shingleton and his wife Lea Ann, Shinnston, 13 grandchildren, Mark Bowsman, Bobby Bowsman, Richard D. Shingleton, Jr., Matthew Shingleton and his wife Michelle, all of FL, Robbie L. Shingleton and his wife Kari, Shinnston, Courtney L. Donaldson and her husband David, Shinnston, Tara A. Perine and her husband Adam, Bridgeport, Aaron R. Dragoo and his wife Tracey, Monongah, Raven Shingleton, Morgantown, Brier Shingleton, Clarksburg, Shadoe Shingleton, FL, Dakota Shingleton, Shinnston, Alexis Shingleton, Shinnston, 21 great-grandchildren, one brother, Jesse Dale Frum and his wife Sheila, Kingwood, one sister, Martha Raines and her husband Glen, Shinnston, one brother-in-law, John Foster, Enterprise, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Lennie Bowsman, eight brothers and sisters, Grace Markley, Oscar Frum, Delsia Frum, Ethel Foster, Opal Frum, Acie Frum, Rev. Charles Frum, and Davis Frum. Anna was a loving wife and homemaker who was always patient and kind. She was an exceptional cook and an avid gardener. She was a longtime member of the Enterprise United Methodist Church where she served as choir director for many years. She was a bold Christian who won many souls to the Lord. She loved her Savior and said that she “was a winner either way”. Friends may call at Jewel City Church, Rt. 20 Haywood, from 5-8pm, Saturday and 3-8pm, Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, June 30. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F.
