Shirley Dean Roberds, 78, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1936, in Turkey, Texas, daughter of the late Oscar Landry, Harley Edward Stanfield and Elsie Whitehorn. She was a member of the Gravel Hill Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Landry. She is survived by her husband, Billy Dean Roberds; three sons, Jimmy Dean Roberds and wife Cookie, and Don Edward Roberds and wife Anita, and Bobby Joe Roberds; 3 daughters, Carol Gordon, Debra and husband Allen Burris, and Shirlene Johnston; brother, J.R. Landry; and 2 sisters, Louise Townsend and Johnnie Voyles. Graveside service and burial is 10:00 AM, Monday, June 16, at Bowden Cemetery with Bill Roderick officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Gary Gordon, Nicholas Gordon, Aaron Roberds, Seth Roberds, Billy Ray Roberds and Jeffery Roberds.
