Richard W. Romeo, 59, of Gypsy, passed away at 8:40am, Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the residence of his brother, Gary Romeo and his wife Sheila, with whom he resided. He was born in Clarksburg, November 21, 1954 a son of the late Joseph and Elva Moore Romeo. Surviving are one son, Richard Wayne “Duke” Romeo, Jr., Gypsy, one daughter, Theresa Ann Romeo, Hughes, three grandchildren, three brothers, Joe Romeo and Lisa, Gypsy, Gary Romeo and his wife Sheila, Gypsy, David Romeo and his wife Lori, West Milford, three sisters, Loretta Lucas, Gypsy, Mary Foster, Gypsy, Linda Martin and her husband Dale, Gypsy, brother-in-law, Albert Morrison, special nieces and nephews, Jamie and Jason Campbell, Chris and David Parks, Zach and Kimmy Owens, Dale Martin, Jr., Christopher O’Dell, Christopher “Little Chris” O’Dell, Jr., Jody Sheme, and William Romeo. Richard was also preceded in death by one brother, William Romeo. Richard had formerly worked at the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing on the Holly River. He was a member of the House of Faith. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, May 5, with Pastor Delores White officiating. Interment will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery.
