Mrs. Helen Reid Moore, 87, of Senatobia, MS, formerly of Sardis, MS, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at her home. She was born on November 8, 1926 in Walnut, MS. A homemaker, she also worked for Holiday Inn and Rooker Chevrolet, both in Sardis. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sardis and was active in the nursing home ministry with her Sunday school class and missions in South Dakota and Alaska. Mrs. Moore is survived by three daughters, Becky Rooker of Oxford, MS, Joanne Thompson (Terry) of Brandon, MS, and Susanne McLendon (Jimmy) of Glen Allen, MS; two sons, Wallace R. Moore, Jr. (Sherry) of Jonesboro, AR and Clay Moore (Deborah) of Senatobia, MS; one sister, Linda Matthews (Roy) of Crowder, MS; one brother, Leroy Reid (Betty) of Lambert, MS; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, The Late Wallace R. Moore and her parents, L.E. Reid and Pauline Hardin Reid. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2pm in the First Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS with Dr. John Flowers and Rev. Jimmy McLendon officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis, MS. Visitation will be held in the church on Tuesday from 12-2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
