William Arthur Burke Sr. of Winchester, Virginia died on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Harrisonburg, VA. He was born in Rappahannock County, VA on June 8, 1942 to the late Edward Garfield and Mary Fanny Foster Burke. Mr. Burke worked for Stuart M. Perry as an equipment operator before retiring. He married the late Elizabeth Virginia Riley on July 16, 1963 in Hagerstown, MD. He is survived by two sons, William A. Burke Jr. of Strasburg, VA and Wayne L Burke of Inwood, WV; a daughter, Myrtle Ann Burke Webb of North Carolina; a brother, Robert Burke of Culpeper, VA; grandchildren, Allen Burke, Ricky Burke, Andrew Burke, Justin Burke, Virginia Burke, Isaac Burke, Ashley Creamer, Lee Burke and Grant Burke and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Travis Puttman and a great grandchild. Services will be at a later date.
