Alfred Noble Obituary

Alfred B. “Al” Noble, 67, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2014 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur. He was born on August 13, 1946 in Fort Wayne, IN to Edgar B. and Barbara (Esch) Noble. On September 2, 1967 he married Leanna J. Vodde. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he served as the church treasurer. He was instrumental in starting the community meals at First Methodist called Fishes & Loaves. He was active in the church choir and music team and served on various church committees. If there was something going on at the church Al was somehow involved. He was a founding member of the music group Praise Four. Al was currently working at Meijer in Fort Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Leanna Noble of Decatur; his mother Barbara Noble of Decatur; a son Alex (Sherie) Noble of Fort Wayne; a daughter Barb (Derek) Jung of Clinton Township, MI; a brother Bill (Nancy) Noble of Fort Wayne; a sister Dorothy (Bill) Euske of Sea Ranch, CA; 5 grandchildren Brooke, Leah, Aric, Aubri Noble and Kenny Jung. He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Noble and a brother David Noble. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Haggard –Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Amy Covington and burial will take place in Prairie Grove Cemetery in Waynedale. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
