Mr. Pollock was born January 20, 1926 in Fairmont, WV, the son of the late John Gardner Pollock and Nett Thomas Pollock. He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Symons Pollock, three sons; Richard A. Pollock Jr. of Chagrin Falls, Oh, Kevin C. Pollock of Stafford, VA, and Christopher F. Pollock of Richmond, VA.; stepson David C. Larrick of Stephens City, VA., stepdaughter Kathy L. Beatty of Middletown, VA. Survivors include 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild. A son, John Gardener Pollock ll and a stepson W. Michael Larrick preceded him in death. He graduated from Cambria High School, Ebensburg, PA, and attended Fairmont State College and Penn State University. He was a member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church and the Winchester Moose Lodge. Mr. Pollock retired after 44 years as an operations and sales management with United Airlines. He worked for H&R Block for a time joining The Home Depot 15 years ago. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
