John Leslie Sendling, 56, of Shinnston, passed away at 5:20pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg, April 4, 1958 a son of the late Russell M. Sendling, Sr. and the late Martha Lee Clark Sendling. Surviving are his wife, Tamera Hall Sendling, Spelter, five children, Eric Sendling and his companion Sarah Gower, Salem, John Leslie Sendling, Jr., Clarksburg, Tabatha Carpenter and her husband Christopher, Norfolk, VA, Amy Hall and her companion Andrew Bartlett, Shinnston, Amber Hall, Norfolk, VA, five grandchildren, Emily Sendling, Nevaeh Ann Connolly, Ashton Carpenter, Nekoda Carpenter, Novalee Bartlett, three brothers, Russell Sendling, Jr. and his wife Sue, Lambert’s Run, Jimmy Sendling and his wife Carla, Wyatt, Steve Sendling and his wife Sandy, Wallace, six sisters, Hazel Allman, FL, Carol Stire and her husband Robert, Spelter, Frances Binegar and her husband Donnie, Gypsy, Ruby Sendling, Sardis, Jeanette Bonnell, Hepzibah, Debbie Barr and her husband Charlie, Lumberport, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Dell Sendling and Duelly Markley, and one sister, Betty Hartman. John had formerly worked for the RC Cola Bottling Company and Anchor Hocking Glass Factory. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting and loved helping people and listening to music. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston from 11am until the time of the service at 2pm, Friday, April 18, with Pastor Jimmy Glaspell officiating.
