Dallas A. McCloskey, 77, of Snow Shoe, passed away on April 13, 2014 at his home. Born on January 8, 1937, in Clarence, he was the son of the late Albert M. and Bernice P. Yeager McCloskey. On January 23, 1960, in Lock Haven, he married Lydia M. Lucas who survives at home.

Dallas was a 1954 graduate of Snow Shoe High School. He was employed as a salesman at Executive Motors in Bellefonte and then at MacIntyre Chevrolet in Lock Haven before retiring. He also worked in the maintenance department at the Bryce Jordon Center. Before becoming a car salesman, Dallas owned and operated DM Bargain Centers in Lock Haven, Jersey Shore, and Williamsport.

Dallas was a member of the Snow Shoe Church of Christ, Snow Shoe Area Lions Club, and the Snow Shoe Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending BEA wrestling matches, and all Penn State sporting events. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was involved in local politics such as the Snow Shoe Borough Council and Centre County Planning Commission.

Dallas is survived by his wife, son, Christopher D. McCloskey of Snow Shoe, daughter, Renee L. Bitner and her husband, Dwayne of Wrightsville, PA, two grandchildren; Drew Raven and Kareese Raven, and great granddaughter, Miya Raven.

Along with his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by one son, Rex G. McCloskey, two brothers, and one sister.

Following Dallas’ wishes, all services will be private. Burial will be in the Snow Shoe Church of Christ Cemetery, Snow Shoe Twp.
