Patrick M.T. Nieswiadomy, Sr., 64, of Warren Ave. passed away April 12, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Beaver, Pa.

Born in Buffalo, NY on March 17, 1950, Patrick was the son of the late Michael and Mary Fugas Nieswiadomy. Surviving at home is his loving and devoted wife, the former Darleen Barnes, whom he married on April 23, 1977 and renewed their vows in 1997.

Patrick was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church and enjoyed making palm crosses for Palm Sunday.

He had worked for Fowler Taxi Cab Service. Prior to that, Patrick had worked for the Yellow Cab Company where he also worked as a dispatcher. He and his wife had also been co-owners of the Rainbow Taxi Cab Service. Patrick loved music and was an accomplished drum player. He also enjoyed fishing. Patrick was a very caring and loving man who was proud of his Polish heritage. He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Patrick M.T. Nieswiadomy, Jr. of New Castle; his aunts, Katie Hruska of New Castle; Jul Fugus of VA; cousins, Deborah Fugus of VA; Florence Nieswiadomy and Irene Sitarek, both of Buffalo, NY; Renee Cantwell and husband Gregory of NJ; his nephew, Gary Barnes and wife Deanna, his niece, Robin Holliday and husband Deroy, both of New Castle; six great nephews, two great-great-nephews, two great-great-nieces and a special friend, Thomas Skowronski of Buffalo, NY.

Visitation is Thursday from 12PM to 1PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. followed by a blessing service at 1PM officiated by Rev. Father William Siple of St. Vitus Church.

Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery.
