Virginia Tresize, 76, of Haywood, passed away at 12:55am, Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Taylor County, August 3, 1937 a daughter of the late Homer and Fannie Ice Barker. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Tresize, Sr.. Surviving are one daughter, Sylvania Tresize, Haywood, three sons, Lester Tresize, Jr., Haywood, Harry Tresize and his wife Heather, Meadowbrook, Doug Tresize and his wife Ashley, Lumberport, seven grandchildren, Paul Pumphrey, Jr. and his fiancé Kristi, Nicholas Tresize, Sarah Tresize, Alyssa Barr, McKenzie Barr, and Carmen Tresize, one step-daughter, Penny Hilverding and her husband Jeff, West Union. Virginia was the last surviving member of her immediate family having also been preceded in death one son, Chester Tresize, two grandsons, Eric Pumphrey and Travis Tresize, two sisters, three brothers, and her companion, Wilson H. Starkey. She was the owner and operator of T & B Janitor service. She also spent many years caring for the elderly. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S.
