Walter A. Thornsburg Obituary
Walter A. Thornsburg age 80 of Franklin Drive in Richmond, passed away Friday April 11, 2014 at his home.
Walter was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Allie McFarland Thornsburg. He was a retired MSG from the U.S. Army and retired communications tech from Berea College. He also worked in communications in San Antonio, Texas.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Hester “Tess” Lakes Thornsburg and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his special niece and caregiver Darlene Hobbs, a special great niece Susan Casteel Rhodus , a very special great-great nephew Gunnar Rhodus and his loving companion Ginger. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.
Memorial services will be scheduled later this year at Pilot Knob Cemetery.
