Barbara J. Taylor, 81, of Galilee Rd. Wampum, Pa. passed away the morning of April 12, 2014 at Jameson Hospital.

Born in Greenville, Pa. on April 20, 1932, Barbara was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Smith Eddy. She is survived by her husband, Paul W. Taylor whom she married on October 10, 1953.

Barbara retired from the Penn Power Company where she worked as a switchboard operator. She enjoyed reading, working crosswords and cooking. Barbara cherished the times she spent with her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by her three sons, Robert H. Taylor and wife Barbara of Wampum; Ronald J. Taylor and wife Sheila of Talmo, GA; Raymond Taylor and wife Maria of Wampum; her brother, Robert Eddy of New Castle; two sisters, Marge Thompson of Greenville, PA; Alma Winkler of Mesa, AZ; her aunt, Naomi Smith of Meadville, PA; and her five grandchildren, Brandon, Brock, Jared, Jessica and Edward Taylor and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Dennis Taylor.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4PM to 8PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd.

A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11AM officiated by Rev. Ronald Mounts, pastor of the New Castle Church of God. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
