Samuel Strout Obituary

Samuel Hanson Strout, 32, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2014 at his home in Waldoboro with his wife Jessica and his mother Paulette by his side. Samuel was the first born son of the late Jonathan D. Strout and Paulette Chapman Strout. He was born on July 22, 1981 in Rockport, Me. As a child Sam grew up in the Warren area and attended local schools and was a graduate of Medomak Valley High School class of 1999. Sam then went on to College and had dreams of one day finishing his education. While in high school during basketball season Sam would dawn his famous costume and transform himself into the Medomak Maniac. He would attend all of the games in his blue and gold costume complete with basketball hat. He had a love for the sport and even coached his brothers pee wee basketball team. As an adult he kept himself active in sports while he and Jessica would play softball in a coed league for years playing for environmental disasters and lord Camden inn. Sam married his best friend Jessica June 9, 2012 and the smile that day could not be taken off his face. As an adult Sam would work in construction for a variety of companies though out the mid-coast. He worked very hard as a builder helping his cousin Mike build his family home as well as helping to rebuild his mothers and Donn’s kitchen, along with a chicken coop. It was ironic that he had to rebuild his mother's kitchen because the two would spend many hours in there cooking and catching up on their lives. Donn and his mother will always treasure the memories that they had together. Every summer Sam enjoyed going to his camp at Sennebec campground while there he would enjoy fishing, building the biggest fires he could, and hanging out with his wife and mother and various friends including his cousin Mike, brother in laws Shayne and Jeremy, good friend Carlos “Sisco” and his little nephews Zac and Kyle. Sam loved his nephews as if they were his own. During his illness friends and family were by his side at all times he was known for his laugh and his loyalty. He had a special friend named Hannah who made him a homemade card and prayed for him every day as many others would. The last few days of his life his wife and mother spent every waking moment by his side until he finally took his last breathe.
