Helen Virginia Campbell Ritter, 84, of Winchester, died on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Care Center. Mrs. Ritter was born on November 9, 1929 in Lebanon Church, VA; the daughter of the late Henry Franklin Campbell, Sr. and Clara Ann Supinger Campbell. She worked as a realtor for Virginia Property Group. She was a member of the Winchester Medical Center Women’s Auxiliary for 15 years, the French and Indian War Foundation and the Women’s Civic League. She married Lynwood Nelson Ritter in December 1967 in Charles Town, WV. Mr. Ritter passed away March 6, 1996. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Venetia Lowery of Virginia; a stepson, James Ritter of Virginia; two brothers, Robert Joseph Campbell of Clifton, VA and Henry Franklin Campbell Jr. of Strasburg, VA; two sisters, Lois Amy Campbell Wismer of Winchester, VA and Mary Ann Campbell Barron of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Martha Miller Sims officiating. Pallbearers will be Harry Smith, John Hardesty, Brett Osborn, Johathan Bouffard, Barry Hanks and William Grabill. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville following the service.
