Josephine “Jo” Ducoeur, 65, of Shinnston, passed away, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born in Clarksburg, July 23, 1948, a daughter of the late Fernand and Jennie Aragona Ducoeur. Surviving are one sister, Mary Bennett, Shinnston, nephew, Christopher Lynn Bennett and his wife Allison, Greenville, SC, great-nephew, Dregen Bennett, her Godson, Eli Fleece, Bridgeport, her cousins, Francie and Paul Wagner, Louis Anthony and Tammy Aragona, Larry and Shiela Aragona, Ramona and David Davoli, Marcia and John Lukatch, Elaine and Jerome Haley, Ronnie Paul and many other cousins. Her special friends, Judy Knoble, Mary Martin, and Tina Cain. Jo retired from the Harrison County Board of Education as a school bus driver with 26 years service. She coached softball and loved sporting events, especially the Steelers and Notre Dame. Jo had a great love for children. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Shinnston, where she was very involved until her illness 2 years ago. Friends may call at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 2-8pm, Thursday. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm, Thursday in the funeral home chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am, Friday, April 4 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Shinnston, with Father Thomas Dagle as celebrant.
