Sally “Doreen” Garner September 7/30 – March 28/14 On Friday, March 28th, Doreen passed away peacefully at the Watrous Hospital surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” ; parents George and Winnifred Waldner; stepfather William Hancock; brothers Fred and Noel Waldner;sisters Shirley Waldner and Hazel Isted; father and mother-in-law Durham and Margaret Garner; sisters-in-law Elizabeth “Betty” King and Irene Garner; brother-in-law John Garner. Doreen is survived by her children Bryan (Judy); Norman “Scotty” (Caroline); Irene (Jim Short); Robbie (Cindy); Garnet (Deb Hagen); Darrin. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Marcy (James Lawson) and Jason (Denise) Waldner; Jody, Erin, and Reesa Garner; Jonas and Jennifer Short; Christina (Grant Michelson), Justin, and Jessica Garner; Nikita (Nicholas Iles) and Kelsey (Matt Elliott)Garner. She was the best great-grandmother to Taylor, Mackenzie, and Hayley Waldner; Carter Fendelet; Isabelle Short. She is also survived by her sister Hilda Morrell; brother Bill (Barb) Hancock as well as other nieces/nephews. Doreen was a friend to many and always remembered birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions with a card or letter. She was an avid cheerleader for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and never passed up an opportunity to attend a game. She will be dearly missed by all. Rest in peace Mom, we love you!! Funeral will be held at the Simpson Community Hall on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2pm.
