Ebbie Edwards

Ebbie Foster Edwards, age 97, of Erwin died Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the Center on Aging and Health, Erwin. Mrs. Edwards was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Jim Henry and Eliza Tilson Foster. She retired in 1981 from Morrill Electric, Rocky Fork, after several years of service. Mrs. Edwards was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church and Clinchfield Senior Citizens. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vines Edwards, two infant sons, two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Edwards is survived by one son, Roger Edwards and wife, Martha of Jonesborough; one sister, Ollie Tipton of Afton; one granddaughter, April Edwards Miller and husband, Freddie of Johnson City, a very special niece and caregiver, Vicky Bryant, and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Edwards will be held at 3:00 P. M. Sunday, March 30, 2014, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kevin Laws will officiate. Music will be provided by the Southside Trio and Jessee Price. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her son, Roger Edwards, 320 Mt. Zion Church Road, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be F. C. Peterson, Jack Lusk, O. B. Foster, Jessee Price, Pat Michael Barnett and Freddie Miller. Interment will follow in the Hensley Cemetery, Spivey Mountain Community.
