Mr. James “Jim” Whitten Mason, 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at his home in Senatobia, MS. He was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a longtime member of Sardis First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and a choir member. Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Betty Blakely Mason of Senatobia, MS; one daughter, Angie Mason Conley (Decker) of Senatobia, MS; three brothers, John Mason (Doris) of Batesville, Benny Mason (Johny) and Ralph Mason (Margaret) all of Sardis, MS; and two grandsons, Mason Conley (Meghan) of College Station, TX and Nelson Conley of Senatobia. He was preceded in death by his parents, The Late Richard Lawrence Mason and Georgia Wilson Mason; one sister, The Late Sissy Younker and one brother, The Late R.L.
