Lorraine (Keeney) Neumann, 95, of Windham, beloved wife of the late Edward A. Neumann, Sr. passed away Monday, March 17, 2014. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Ernest William Keeney and Lillian (Jencks) Lawson. She enjoyed cooking, golfing and tennis. She was a volunteer at McSweeney as a tour guide and trip planner. She worked at Pratt and Whitney during the war and was a manager at Tioga Yarn Shop in Coventry. She retired from UConn accounting and payroll after 14 years. She is survived by her sons, Edward A. Neumann, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Mansfield, Scott E. Neumann and his wife Annette of Napa, CA, and Jon F. Neumann of Coventry; her grandchildren, Jonathon, Justin, Karen, Allison and Elizabeth Neumann; and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia B. Snow. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Coventry Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke. (Rte. 44) Coventry. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St., Coventry. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
