Eugene Slauenwhite Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Eugene Malcolm Slauenwhite, 55, of Bridgewater, announces his passing on Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at home in Bridgewater. Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of Shirley (Bruhm) Tanner of Leary Fraser Rd. and the late Malcolm Slauenwhite. Eugene fished for many years with ScotiaTrawlers Lunenberg and later worked for a number of car dealerships in their parts departments in Bridgewater and Halifax. A handyman who could fix anything, Eugene especially enjoyed working on cars and maintaining his property. He was a caring and compassionate man who loved and enjoyed his family as well as the company of his four legged friend Rascal. Eugene is survived by his mother, Shirley Tanner and step-father, Lewis Tanner, Leary Fraser Rd.; step-children, Steven Hallett, Bridgewater; John Hallett, AB; Daniel Veinotte and Linda Veinotte, both of Newfoundland; sisters, Georgina Dagley (David), NL; and Gwen Slauenwhite (Stephen), Pickering, Ontario and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Malcolm Slauenwhite. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg where a memorial service to celebrate Eugene’s life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 am, Rev. Steven Hiltz officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. www.sweenyfuneralhome.ca
