Obituary:

Phil Cummings, 63, of Salina, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 24, 1949 in Anderson, Missouri, the son of Fred Cummings and Othal E. (Austin) Cummings. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. He married B. J. Box on January 15, 1994 in Owasso, Oklahoma. Phil graduated from the School of the Local Church at Grace Fellowship. He was the Pastor of the Band of Believers Church in Salina, Oklahoma. He and wife, B.J. own and operate Cummings Home Center in Salina, Oklahoma. Phil enjoyed four wheeling with his grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He loved studying God’s word, searching for the full truth it holds. He loved his Lord and his family above all. He will be lovingly remembered by all he touched in his life. Funeral Services for Phil will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Lakeview Baptist Church with Reverend Wendell Hope and Reverend Roy Evans officiating. Military Honors will be given. Casket bearers are Randy Cummings, David Phillips, Dale Ragains, Bill Scullawl, Ted Smith and Dan Johnson. J. of the home; his daughter, Juelye Nelson and husband, Bobby of Broken Arrow, OK; his sons, Quincy Cummings and wife, Johanna of Broken Arrow, OK and Travis Cummings and fiance’ Michelle, of Broken Arrow, OK; his grandchildren, Ryanne Nelson, Luke Cummings and Dylanne Nelson; his brothers, Glen Cummings of Carl Junction, MO, Kenneth Cummings of Seneca, MO and Robert Cummings of Carl Junction, MO; his sisters, Loreta Lawrence of Lockwood, MO, Lucille Hudson of Webb City, MO and Gladys Frey of Three Forks, MT; many other relatives, friends, and his church family, who he was like a father to. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Othal Cummings.
