OBITUARY MERIDEN LOUISE B. FORCIER Louise B. Forcier (Barbagli), 94 beloved wife of the late Louis P. Forcier, passed away on October 10, 2012 after a brief illness. Mrs. Forcier was born in Meriden on March 17, 1918 to the late Domenico Barbagli and Sophia Barbagli Verdolini. She graduated from Meriden High School, class of 1935, and was a life long resident of Meriden and devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was known to many for her smiling face at Verdolini’s Restaurant, founded by her father in 1931. She was an expert seamstress, loved to knit, crochet and tat. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning. Many of her hand work items and canned foods won “best of the fair” when she entered them in the local country fairs. Aside from spending time with her family and friends she enjoyed journalizing the weather. Married to her husband for 56 years, Lousie is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia Nakos (Forcier) and her husband Paul Nakos of Southington, Aurise Gallucci (Forcier) and her husband Thomas Gallucci of Naples Florida and Claire Kreck (Forcier) and her husband William Kreck of Meriden; Her eight grandchildren, Heather Cole (Nakos) of Wallingford, Gregory Nakos of Bristol, Elizabeth Bird of Manhattan Beach CA, Emilie Leahy of Scituate, MA, Justin Gallucci of South Boston MA, Andrew Gallucci of Chicago Ill, Sadie Kreck of Meriden and Seth Kreck of Meriden. She also has five great grandchildren, Kyree’ Dowd, Kemmbree’ Cole, Winter Nakos, D’Asia Kreck and Ethan Kreck. She also leaves one sister Ida Moran of Southington and one brother-in-law Edward Schipritt of Meriden, god daughter Myrna Barbagli and god son Michael Verdolini as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers Lee Barbagli, Victor Verdolini, Mario Verdolini, and three sisters, Rose Ramini, Caroline Schipritt, and Mary Mazzarella, two sister in laws Minnie Barbagli and Lorraine Verdolini. The funeral will be held on Monday October 15th 2012 at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home 88 East Main Street, Meriden CT 06450 and at 10 a.m. St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden CT 06451.
