Joseph Patrick "Pat" Clendenin, 71, Clarksville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church with the Revs. Karen Barrineau and Richard Wesley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the church. Additionally, a Masonic service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pat was born July 31, 1941 in Nashville, TN, son of Horace and Geneva Loggins Clendenin. He graduated from Texas Weslyan College and thereafter received his Mortuary Science Degree in Dallas, TX. Pat was a faithful servant of the communities in which he lived with a career as a Funeral Director in Comanche, TX and later in Clarksville, TN. He was also a devoted member of the St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church and was a Mason. He had planned to be a minister, inspired by his time spent at the Comanche First United Methodist Church, where he served as a youth director. Survivors include the mother of his children, Sandy Clendenin; children, Scott and Amber Clendenin, both of Clarksville; brother, Ben Clendenin of MA; sister, Mary Ann White of Dallas, TX; and his nieces and nephews, several cousins, and his many, many friends.
