Michael Wayne Fryer, 55 of Grain Valley, MO was called to his eternal home on Monday March 26, 2012. Kindred Hospital in Kansas City, MO was where he took his final breath after a six week battle with pneumonia and complications of ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome). Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Valley Memorial Gardens in Grain Valley, MO. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Michael was born November 15, 1956 in Independence, MO to Nellie Mae and James Earl Fryer. He will be remembered as a great man, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion and great friend to many who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed making people laugh, playing pool, riding his Harley, going to the lake, the Smoking Mountains, traveling, being there for others in their time of need. Mike had many jobs throughout his life, including his most recent job as a waste water technician at Little Blue Valley Sewer District. He is survived by; his children, Christopher Michael Montez and wife Jamie of Oak Grove, MO and Natalie Montez and fiancé Joseph Marquez of Grain Valley, MO; siblings, Victoria Jeanette McDaniel, Edward E. Fryer and Dennis E. Fryer all of Independence, MO; his companion, Julie A. Ginger of the home; 6 grandchildren, Dylan Cross, Michael Marquez, Cory Turvill, Christian Montez, Cameron Montez and Clayton Montez and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Billy and Jimmy Fryer. Mike was loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.
