KERMOND, Dr. William L. of Winchester on February 18, 2012. Beloved husband of Evelyn C. (Conway) Kermond. Loving father of Ellen Fador and her husband Bruce of Winchester, Peter and his wife Adrienne of Hanover NH, Richard and his wife Catherine Kang of Scituate, Justin and his wife Lorraine of Belmont and Louise Coakley and her husband Paul of Winchester. Dear grandfather of Jonathan, Marinna and Pete Connolly, Caroline, Patrick, Alex, William, Mirabel, Julia, Georgia, William, Mary Lou, Kaitlyn, Noah, and Grace. Great grandfather of Charlotte. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Eulalia’s Church, 50 Ridge St. WINCHESTER on Friday February 24th at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Wildwood Cemetery Winchester. Dr. Kermond was a graduate of University of Melbourne's Newman College, Victoria, Australia. He then went on to the Royal College of Surgeons, London, England. He was an Orthopedic Surgeon at Winchester Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and was a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty. Dr. Kermond was involved with Por Cristo organization, a medical team of volunteer doctors, nurses, physical therapists providing orthopedic training & services to Ecuadorian patients & physicians, with a primary emphasis on children. He was an avid golfer, tennis player, pilot, and sailor.
