Ruth Confer Thompson, 89 of Laurel, Md. and formerly of Monument, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Laurel Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1919 in Curtin, a daughter of John and Verna Yeager Bowmaster.
She is survived by three daughters, Vonda Blankenship of North Carolina, Barbara Evans of Maryland and Penny of California; Three sons, Charles and Elmer Confer of Pennsylvania and Raymond of California; and many grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by four sons and two daughters.
Funeral services will be Friday, february 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 135 W. Main St., Howard, Pa. with the Rev. Donald Fornwalt officiating. Burial will be in HighlandCemetery, Howard. Visitation will be a half hour before the service at the funeral home Friday.
