Nicholas Thomas Albrecht, 29, of Somers Point, NJ, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Nick was born on June 24, 1981 and grew up in Somers Point, attending school at St. Peter Elementary School in Pleasantville, Jordan Road School in Somers Point and Mainland Regional High School in Linwood. Nick was well loved and excelled at everything he did. He was a talented musician, playing in numerous bands including: Dirty Sanchez, Telex, Trendkill, In The Ether, Devola, Linus Lowery and many others. His greatest passion, besides playing music himself, was helping his musician and artist friends get noticed by drawing crowds of fans through setting up shows and tours. Over the years, Nick worked repairing computers and installing electronics. Some of the companies he worked for are Tweeter Electronics in Mays Landing, Shore Sound and Cinema in Pleasantville and Greenway Computers in Somers Point. Nick is predeceased by: his grandparents, William and Margaret Albrecht of Somers Point, uncle, Martin Albrecht of Somers Point and great-uncle, Christopher Kelly of Brigantine. He is survived by his parents William and Jeanne Albrecht, both of Somers Point, his younger sister and brother, Erin and Ryan Albrecht, his grandparents, Tom and Jeanne d’Elia of Northfield, aunts and uncles, Lynda Thomas of West Atlantic City, Mary Stewart of Atlantic City, Tom and Tara d’Elia of Morris Plains, NJ, Chuck and Janice Albrecht, of Mays Landing, his great-aunt, Rosemary Kelly of Brigantine and cousins, January (John) Carson, Matt Stewart and Alan, Chris and Greg Albrecht. Nick is also leaving behind an innumerable amount of loving friends. He will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and sense of humor, ability to make friends wherever he went and his passion for creating music. A memorial mass will celebrate Nick’s life on Monday, June 13th, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Church in Somers Point. Friends may call at 9:30am until the time of the Mass at 11:30am. Burial will be private.
