James Albert "Mash" Mashburn Tennessee James Albert Mashburn, 55, a resident of Cordova, TN passed away Saturday, June 04, 2011 at the Trauma Center in Bethany, OK. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services Thursday, June 09, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm and will be Friday from 10:00 am until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be in the chapel at 2:00 pm with burial following in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Glazier and Joe Lee will deliver the eulogy. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be handling arrangements. James lived in Cordova, TN since 1999 moving from Morton, MS and he was a member of Morton United Methodist Church. He was a 1974 Honor Graduate of Morton High School where he lettered in football. After graduation he became an Air Traffic Controller in Memphis, TN and was an instructor with the FAA in Oklahoma City until his death. He had been a member of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club for many years. He was loved & adored by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, John B. Mashburn in 2001. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mashburn, Cordova, TN; parents, Will and Ruby Mashburn of Brandon; two daughters, Shanna Davis and husband Kieran of Wakefield, England; Jamie McNiell and husband Andrew of Cordova, TN; one brother, Frank Mashburn, Chicago, Ill; one sister, Margaret Nelson of Clinton, MS; two grandchildren, Alexandra Davis and Brayden McNiell; one niece, Kim Grantham; two great nieces, Taylor and Averie Grantham; one nephew, Larry Egnor; and two great nephews, Cameron and Calib Egnor. Pallbearers are Richard Latham, Tim Cooper, Robby Grantham, David French, David Farris, James Laseter, John Latham, Jimmy Farris, and Chris Bunyard. Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Morton United Methodist Church, Morton, MS.
