Virginia L. Stuck Koons, 79, of Hummelstown, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Lancashire Hall, Lancaster.
Born in Hummelstown on June 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Speck Stuck.
Virginia retired from the former Polyclinic Hospital where she was a nurse. She graduated from the former Hummelstown High School. Virginia was a member of Mountain View Bible Church, Hummelstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Koons, on July 17, 1994.
Virginia is survived by one son, George W. Koons, Jr. husband of Nikki of Cleona; one daughter, Diane E. Blankenship wife of Donald L. of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Mary Keefer wife of Clay of Hummelstown; one brother, Clarence Stuck of Manheim; and five grandchildren, George W. Koons, III, Desiree Koons, Daniel Blankenship, Danielle Blankenship and Alexander Blankenship.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2008, at 11 AM in the Mountain View Bible Church, 34 Sipe Avenue, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Dr. Norman C. Marks, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Lower Paxton Township. Friends and relatives are invited to call for a viewing at the church Monday from 10 AM until time of the services.
