In 2003 when our Dad passed away they had been married for 67 years. Some of those years where spent on a farm near Anadarko, Oklahoma where my brother Larry and I grew up. She helped Dad on the farm driving the wheat truck, and later, hen Dad went to work at Sequoia Carpet Mills, she and I helped by feeding the cattle in the winter. She is Past Worth Matron of the Eastern Stars Chapter in Anadarko.
In 1973 they sold the farm and moved to Grove to retire. Here I grove is where they spent the last of their years together. In the early years here, they loved the lake and were often seen sitting in their front yard on 16th street watching the boats and calling in the many ducks that Dad would feed. In 1998 they moved to their present home, where mom spent the rest of her days enjoying playing bridge, and spending time with grandchildren.
