It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marzella Grobauer on June 30, 2016 at Villa Italia in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank Grobauer and loving mother of Rick (Ruth) and Peter (Paul). Dearest Oma to Diana (Crystal) and Michelle (Andrew). Dear sister of Joe (Brigitte) and Erika (Hans) and sister-in-law Sofie. Survived by a large number of nieces and nephews here in the Hamilton surrounding area and in Germany. Marzella was a very active member of the St. Boniface Catholic parish for over 55 years. An avid gardener and a wonderful cook and baker - her passions were dimmed by dementia in her last few years. Our thanks to the wonderful staff at Villa Italia who took such good care of her over the past four years. At the families request, cremation has taken place. A Graveside service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery on Tuesday, July 5th at 11am. Donations to Villa Italia via www.canadahelp.org in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
