Emma passed away on June 21, 2016 at the Fall River Health Services in Hot Springs, SD. Emma is survived by children, Loretta (Herman Buckley) Shaw of Buffalo Gap, SD and Michael (Jeanie) Shaw of Polson, MT; grandchildren, Rainee (Richard) Garza, Michael Che Shaw, Neil Shaw, Emerson Shaw III, Monica Shaw, Rene Shaw, and Michael Ann Shaw; great grandchildren, Ruth Garza and Jeremy Garza; and great-great grandchildren, Angel Garza, Anthony Garza, Jeremy Garza, Jr., Silvia Garza, and Samuel Garza. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mae Standing Soldier; spouse, Emerson Francis Shaw, Jr.; daughter, Sylvia Plumb; brother, Martin Standing Soldier; sisters, Julie Hacker, Helen Curtis, Rita Rasmussen, and Lena Pudwill; and lifelong partner, Kenneth Larson.
