Fay McCranie, age 70, Flag Pond passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at her residence. She lived in Dallas, Texas for eighteen years before moving to Unicoi County in 1997. Fay was a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith. Fay was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Moore and one brother, Charles Arthur Moore. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of fifty years, Tommy McCranie; her mother, Rosalee Head Moore of Flag Pond; five sons: Donnie R. McCranie and wife, Keena, Robert M. "Bobby" McCranie, Johnny D. McCranie, Roger A. McCranie and wife, Jessica, Charles W. "Chucky" McCranie and wife, Denise, all of Dallas; two brothers: Ernie Moore and wife, Barbara Sue of Erwin, David "Ellis" Moore and wife, Tina of Johnson City; three sisters: Pat Stephenson and husband, Tony of Hampton, Barbara Giep and husband, John of Erwin and Bonnie Rice of Flag Pond; Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until the hour of service on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate at the 7:00 P. M. funeral service. Music will be provided by Inez Chandler, Hunter Pate, Courtney Harris and Craig Shelton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Committal service will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday in the Garland Cemetery. Minister, pallbearers, family and friends are asked to meet by 12:30 P. M. Saturday at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home to go in procession to the cemetery.
