Dorothy Marie Rieckhoff

Dorothy Marie Rieckhoff, age 97 of Ludington passed away on June 13, 2016 at Tendercare of Ludington.

She was born on April 26, 1919 in Ludington, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mary Hannah (Voss) Edwards. Dorothy attended Beecher High School in Flint, graduating with the class of 1937.

Dorothy married Steve Rieckhoff on April 23, 1963 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ludington. He preceded her in death in 1987. She worked for many years at Dow Chemical in Ludington as a secretary until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She lived her faith every day. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, fishing with her husband Steve, being a homemaker and was very generous and had a very detailed memory.

Dorothy is survived by her 2 sisters, Erma O’Rielly of Auburn, GA, and Florence Hamilton of Ludington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve; 2 sisters, Marjorie Blue and Opal Edwards; and 2 brothers, Clarence and Lester Edwards.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 2:30PM on Thursday June 16, 2016 at Oak Grove Funeral Home with Pastor William Huether officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00PM until time of service. Burial will follow at West Riverton Township Cemetery in Ludington.
