Winter Haven, FL and Hudson Falls, NY Robert A. Harper passed away on his 73rd birthday. He came into the world on June 8, 1943 and left this world on June 8, 2016 at his home with his loving wife, having been able to spend his final precious days with all four of his children by his side. Bob retired from Washington County Dept. of Social Services. He loved spending time with his family, was an avid golfer and enjoyed many other sports. He played football for the Greenjackets, was a football official with the Adirondack Officials and a Hudson Falls Little League coach. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Robert Harper, his grandmother, Rose “Nanny” Harper, his brother, James “Skip” E. Harper, and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife Kathleen J. (Keys) Harper; his children, Lori O’Neil and husband Rich of Hudson Falls, Terri McCarty of Queensbury, Greg Harper and his wife Donna of Hudson Falls, Gary Harper and his wife Lynn of So. Glens Falls; his grandchildren, Dan O’Neil and his wife Jessica, Katie O’Neil, Amanda and Jason McCarty, Alyssa Harper, Mallory and Andrew Harper, Jackie Foster and husband Matt, Joshua Krywy and his fiancé Sarah Newton; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Daniel O’Neil, McKenzie and Kamden Foster, and Wyatt Krywy; his aunt and uncle, Norman and Joan Harper of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; his sisters in law, Barbara Manell and husband Rick of St. Petersburg, Florida, Joanne Layden, Lynda Vosh and husband Larry all of Queensbury, Ernie Harper of Tuscon, Arizona and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Bob’s request there will be no calling hours. A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward. A gathering will immediately follow the services at the Wedgewood Golf Course in Fort Edward. In Bob’s honor if you would like to golf please feel free to bring your golf clubs. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Orlando Regional Cancer Center 1400 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32806.
