Adrain Arnold Obituary

Adrain David Arnold of Decatur, formerly of Florida and Fort Wayne passed away peacefully on Sunday June 12, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Adrain was born in Decatur on January 4, 1931 to the late Frank and Nora (Leyse) Arnold. Adrain graduated from Kirkland High School, where he was on their basketball team. Adrain was a Navy Veteran. Adrain farmed west of Decatur for over 40 years and retired from International Harvester in 1981. On October 20, 1951, Adrain married his beautiful wife, Jane (Barber). They were married for 59 years before Jane passed away on January 27, 2010. Surviving Adrain are his four children: Allen of Palmetto, Fl., Steve of Decatur, Linda (Jerry) Werling of Fremont, IN., and Leisa (Judd) Girard of Decatur. Fifteen grandchildren and forty one great grandchildren. Also surviving is daughter in law Marlene Zeitvogel. Grandchildren include Jennifer Galligher, Kristy VanCleve, Laura Sutton, Heather Lenegar, April Binegar, Carrie Binegar, Lindee Andrews, Brandi Steury, Chad Arnold, Adam Arnold, Allison Werling, Jerry Werling Jr., Craig Gonzales, Julie Luginbill and Trevor Hendricks. The family would like to thank Dr. Keith Harvey, CVS, Adams Memorial Hospital, and Woodcrest for their kindness and support during Adrain’s illness. Adrain was also preceded in death by his sister DonnaBelle Johnson and daughter in law Laura Arnold. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm and Wednesday June 15, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Haggard Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday also at the funeral home. Pastor Ed Karges will be officiating. Burial will be held at the Decatur Cemetery with Military Graveside rites by American Legion Post 43 Color Guard. Memorials may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, ASPCA, or the Diabetes Foundation.
